Finally rode a ferris wheel. It was a kiddie one, but that still counts and that is why you should always bring a kid with you to the amusement park. Thanks Big Niece!

Also, this is my first visit to Gröna Lund. It only took me almost three years of living in Stockholm. :p

I have two words for you

Thought these cupcakes were doomed since the mix resulted in very little batter and you were supposed to use two teaspoons of batter per cupcake, but it looks like they made up for it with lots and lots of baking powder.

My free glasses have arrived

A couple of weeks ago, LensWay held a contest where the first 333 people to order upon receiving the e-mail with the promo code would win a free pair of eyeglasses. I wasn't really looking to buy glasses, but free stuff is always appreciated.

Anyway, as I pressed the final button for placing the order, I got an error message. After that, their site started lagging more and more until it finally crashed, so no free glasses for me...whaa!

Because of what happened, they decided to hold another contest. This time giving away twice as many pairs. The e-mail with the promo code was supposed to arrive at 1100 and when it didn't, I figured it was time to let it go...but it looks like the delay worked in my favor because I managed to snag a pair.

Luxury mangoes?

At least that's what the sign says.

Stores in Sweden usually sell Brazilian mangoes and this is the first time I've spotted mangoes that resemble those found in the Philippines.

These are imported from Pakistan and cost about PHP 320 per kilo.
